How much can I borrow with a HELOC, and what will it cost?

Estimate your maximum line, the interest-only payment and the jump when repayment starts. No contact details needed.

Estimated maximum line

$90,000

Interest-only payment during the draw period
$200.00
Payment once repayment starts
$250.93
Payment increase at the end of the draw
$50.93
Total interest over the life of the line

How this calculator works

Maximum line = home value × the lender's combined loan-to-value limit, minus what you owe on the home.

During the draw period it assumes you pay interest only (balance × APR ÷ 12). When repayment starts, the balance is paid off in equal monthly payments over the repayment period, which is why the payment jumps.

It assumes you borrow the full amount on day one and the rate never changes. HELOC rates are usually variable, so your payments can rise or fall.
